This stunning smoothie bowl is a powerhouse of goodness. Packed with vitamins and anti-inflammatory goodies that the whole family will enjoy and can be ready in five minutes. Smoothie bowls + smoothies can be a great way to enjoy an abundant intake of fruit and vegetables. Blending instead of juicing ensures that all nutrients and fibre remain preserved.
Fantastic if trying to detox as both beetroot and nettles are a great detoxifier of the liver.

Serves 2-4 or more


  • 1 medium beetroot including leaves if possible (raw or cooked)
  • 1 small handful of nettle leaves (stinging nettle)
  • 1 apple
  • 1 avocado
  • 250 grams berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries etc)</li>
  • ½ -1 banana (opt) for extra sweetness or 2-4 soaked prunes or medjool dates
  • Water to adjust consistency (filtered or mineral, preferably)
    Toppings: Your favourite fruits, bee pollen, nuts, seeds etc
