ABOUT Aisling Brennan
Hello, my name is Aisling and I am the founder of Vitaclinic. Vitaclinic was born out of a genuine desire to help people take control of their health. Based in County Galway, I offer personalised nutrition and lifestyle plans that go beyond managing symptoms, exploring the root causes of ill health and working alongside conventional medicine to support lasting change. My membership with NTOI keeps me grounded in continued professional development, so the care I offer is always evidence-based and of the highest standard.
My mission is to help people become the architects of their own health, through unprocessed, therapeutic foods and a close working relationship with their GP when needed.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE A CAREER IN NUTRITION AND HEALTH COACHING?
Having been through my own health journey, I was diagnosed with multiple conditions at different stages of my life, including Eating Disorders, Chronic and Acute Anxiety, Panic Attacks, High Cholesterol, Underactive Thyroid, Infertility, Acne, Head Injury, Burst Appendix, Abdominal Adhesions, and Insomnia. I understand what my clients are going through, and it is that lived experience that drives my passion for exploring the underlying causes of these conditions. This ultimately led me to discover Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching and Nutritional Therapy, which has since become an integral part of my life.
Can you describe a memorable experience or achievement since graduating?
A memorable achievement since graduating was being invited to deliver a nutrition talk and practical food demonstration for a large multinational company. I was brought in twice — once in 2025 and again in 2026 — with over 200 men and women attending across the two sessions. It was a big step beyond my 1:1 clinical work and marked the start of offering corporate wellness consultancy. After the talk, several people booked individual consultations, which was a great sign that the content had resonated. I also shared photos and feedback on LinkedIn afterwards, and the post gained a lot of traction, which helped build visibility for my work.
How has your training influenced your approach to health and wellness?
My training has had a huge influence on how I approach health and wellness. I am very focused on public nutrition and preventing chronic disease, and I try to genuinely practise what I preach. One of the things I value most about my education is developing the ability to read research properly, not just repeat what is trending on Instagram. Training with people like Chen Saat Murphy taught me how to interpret studies, understand what is actually evidence-based, and explain it clearly. So if someone asks, for example, whether collagen is good for skin, I can give an informed, accurate answer rather than rely on guesswork. That ability to translate evidence into real-life guidance shapes everything I do.
How have you seen your work positively impact others?
One moment that really stands out involves a woman who came to my yoga classes during Covid. She told me how much the classes had helped her at the time, especially when I moved everything online. After I qualified, she booked a nutrition consultation for her daughter, who was struggling with skin issues. She later shared that she had been so inspired by my work that her daughter chose dietetics for her Leaving Certificate. She did not end up getting onto the course, but knowing I had played a small part in influencing her path in such a positive way meant a great deal to me.
What kind of feedback have you received from clients or your community?
I have been really encouraged by the feedback I have received from clients and my community. One example is a recent Google review from a client dealing with ongoing digestive issues following gallbladder surgery. They shared that the personalised programme I put together had already helped ease their symptoms and given them confidence that they could prevent the issues from returning. Feedback like this is a reminder of why individualised support can make such a real difference.
What has been the most unexpected or exciting part of your journey so far?
One of the most unexpected parts of my journey has been realising how important community is. Working for myself can feel lonely at times, so joining Network Ireland Galway for mentorship and connection has been a huge support. I am also active in the NTOI Facebook group, where we share questions and insights, that sense of professional community has been invaluable. On the practical side, I never expected to break even in my first year or to get to grips with self-employed accounts so quickly, but I did. The most exciting surprise was being named a finalist for Emerging Businesswoman of the Year in Galway, something I never imagined when I started out.
