As part of the IINH Student Spotlight series, we will be visiting some of our alumni from both our Nutrition & Health Coaching and Nutritional Therapy courses to see what sparked their interest in nutrition, discuss their nutrition philosophies and find out what they’ve been up to since studying with IINH.
Fabrizio Marini is the CEO and Founder of Kenko Health, a diagnostic platform he created after nearly a decade working with leading brands to empower nutritional therapists and practitioners across Ireland with the advanced tools and support they need to transform their patients’ health.
ABOUT Fabrizio Marini
Hello, my name is Fabrizio Marini and I am CEO/Founder of Kenko Health Ltd. I am involved in the day to day running of the business. After experiencing health challenges within my own family, I was inspired to create a platform built by practitioners, for practitioners. Kenko Health emerged from this mission. Kenko Health combines advanced at-home diagnostics with seamless logistics and dedicated support designed specifically for nutritional therapists and functional medicine practitioners. It’s about giving practitioners the tools they need to provide better answers and support for their patients’ health journeys.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE A CAREER IN NUTRITIOnal therapy?
My initial interest in studying Health coaching was mainly due to my journey into better health. What lead me to Nutritional Therapy was my fascination in really making a difference but also I was retraining myself to leave the industry I was in at the time.
Can you describe a memorable experience or achievement since graduating?
Nearly a decade on, my proudest achievement has been combining longevity with purpose. I’ve worked with some excellent brands, and I’ve channeled those experiences into improving the tools, knowledge, and support available to our practitioners here in Ireland. It’s incredibly rewarding to grow your career while contributing to the industry as a whole.
How has your training influenced your approach to health and wellness?
My training as a Nutritional Therapist gave me the clinical foundation to work with clients directly, but it also equipped me with the deeper understanding needed to support practitioners and their patients in more strategic ways. Through roles supporting other practitioners, I’ve been able to apply my knowledge around functional diagnostics, supplementation, and patient outcomes. That experience shaped how I approach everything at Kenko Health, taking the skills I learned and scaling them so they benefit entire practitioner communities across Ireland.
have you seen your work positively impact others?
Yes I have for sure. I have often received updates about clients from practitioner where I have been in a position to help with my knowledge around supplements.
What kind of feedback have you received from clients or your community?
With one client I remember well, we had done a genetic test and identified an issue around serotonin, so I recommended a supplement. This is what I received back: “I’ll start with a question: Is this how normal people feel?! This is amazing, what a difference! I never thought I’d feel happy just like that.”
