As part of the IINH Student Spotlight series, we will be visiting some of our alumni from both our Nutrition & Health Coaching and Nutritional Therapy courses to see what sparked their interest in nutrition, discuss their nutrition philosophies and find out what they’ve been up to since studying with IINH.
ABOUT RENATA SZABO
Hello, my name is Renata, I’m an IINH graduate of Nutrition & Health Coaching. Alongside my work as a graphic designer, specialising in websites and digital materials for estate agents across Ireland, I wanted to learn more about nutrition to make healthier choices in my own life, and help others do the same.
Since graduating, I’ve become far more aware of my own everyday habits, using that awareness to build healthier, more positive routines, and to help others recognise and shift the small behaviours that make the biggest difference to their wellbeing.
What inspired you to pursue a career in Nutrition & Health Coaching?
I wanted to learn more about nutrition so I could make healthier choices in my own life and use that knowledge to help others on their health journey too.
CAN YOU DESCRIBE A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE OR ACHIEVEMENT SINCE GRADUATING?
Since graduating, and throughout the programme, I’ve become much more aware of not only nutrition and health, but also my everyday habits. This awareness has helped me recognise habits I want to change and gradually build healthier, more positive ones.
HOW HAS YOUR TRAINING INFLUENCED YOUR APPROACH TO HEALTH AND WELLNESS?
I had already been health-conscious for several years, but the programme gave me a much deeper understanding of nutrition and wellbeing. It has made me more aware of my everyday choices, motivated me to live an even healthier lifestyle, and encouraged me to keep learning and developing my knowledge.
HAVE YOU SEEN YOUR WORK POSITIVELY IMPACT OTHERS?
Yes, I have, and it’s very rewarding when someone comes back with positive feedback and tells me that my advice has helped them make healthier changes in their life.
What kind of feedback have you received from clients or your community?
I’ve received feedback that I’ve helped people recognise and change unhealthy habits, become more aware of certain behaviours, and make changes that have improved their energy levels and overall wellbeing.
What’s been the most unexpected or exciting part of your journey so far?
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE THINKING ABOUT STUDYING WITH IINH?
I think studying with IINH is a great choice if you want to improve not only your knowledge of health and nutrition, but also your mindset. Coaching helped me develop a very different perspective on habits and behaviour, and I found the course material both interesting and valuable.
