About Natasha Banks
I’m a Functional Health and Performance Coach and founder of The Wellness Consultant. My role is centred around supporting individuals to transform their health and optimise their wellbeing through comprehensive, integrated programmes. My approach is holistic and evidence-based, combining strategies in nutrition, lifestyle changes, hormone assessments, and mind-body therapies.
I specialise in areas such as performance and mindset, gut health, hormone balance, stress management, the HPA axis, and vagus nerve support. Ultimately, my aim is to help people feel and function at their best.
Why did you choose to study this course with IINH?
My path into Nutrition & Health Coaching was deeply personal. I experienced burnout through work, went through three devastating miscarriages, and struggled with postnatal depression. I reached a point where I knew another prescription wasn’t the answer—I needed a long-term solution. That’s when I began searching for a deeper understanding of my body, my symptoms, and my emotional wellbeing.
This journey revealed the true power of nutrition, lifestyle, and functional health. It lit a fire in me to help other high-achieving women navigate similar challenges and find clarity, confidence, and energy again.
Since 2018, I’ve worked in the health and wellness space, collaborating with functional medicine doctors, longevity experts, and psychiatrists. These experiences have given me incredible insight into how the body works—especially under stress. Working with my own coach also had a huge impact on my ability to show up fully in life, and that transformation continues to inspire my own practice today.
Can you describe a memorable achievement since graduating?
After completing my course, I had my third baby—and I’m incredibly proud to say that, by applying the nutrition and mind-body strategies I’d learned, I was able to avoid postnatal depression. I felt more grounded and mentally clear, which helped me navigate the early days of motherhood while running a household and gently returning to work. That felt like a major win, both professionally and personally.
How has your training influenced your approach to health and wellness?
My training completely reshaped how I coach. I no longer look at symptoms in isolation; instead, I assess the whole picture—gut health, hormones, stress, sleep, nutrition, mindset—everything is interconnected. I also love incorporating simple, actionable tools for clients, like teaching them how to read food labels and understand what they’re really putting into their bodies.
One of the most valuable outcomes of the course has been the development of a clear, structured framework for my sessions. Clients find it easy to follow, which helps them build momentum, make meaningful progress, and see lasting results.
How have you seen your work positively impact others?
The most rewarding part of my work is seeing real-life transformations. When someone starts to understand and work with their body rather than against it, the shift is profound. I’ve seen clients go from feeling burnt out and overwhelmed to energised, confident, and empowered.
Clients have quit habits like vaping, radically improved their nutrition, built self-care routines, and even reconnected with their families. One woman told me that our work together helped her completely reset her lifestyle, giving her more time with her children while improving her diet and mindset. Another shared how she finally felt in control of her menstrual cycle, using it as a tool instead of a struggle—which helped her perform better throughout the month.
One particularly inspiring client landed a senior promotion at work after focusing on positive psychology and fuelling her body with the right nutrients. That combination gave her the energy, mental clarity, and confidence she needed to step into a leadership role.
What would you say to someone considering study at IINH?
If you’re considering this course, go for it! It’s incredibly immersive, but still easy to follow—even if you’re new to the world of health and wellness. The content is well-structured and accessible, and I loved being part of the learning community. Connecting with like-minded students was such a bonus—it gave me a support system and a space to bounce around ideas and questions.
Most importantly, the course equips you with the knowledge and confidence to take what you’ve learned into a professional setting. You finish feeling not just informed, but empowered to make a difference.
