About Edelle o' Doherty

Edelle O’Doherty. MSc Student cPNI (Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology), Compassionate Inquiry Informed, Certified in Micro-Immunotherapy, Functional Medicine, Nutritional Therapy


Edelle O’Doherty is passionate about nutrition and lifestyle and the role of gut health, metabolic health, and preventative medicine. Her special area of interest is epigenetics, gut health, brain health, brain function and the role of the endocrine and immune systems in health.


She is currently studying for an MSc in Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology and works as a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Practitioner bringing the ‘Compassionate Inquiry Technique’ to her daily clinics.

She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics and an Honours Degree in Chemistry from Trinity College, Dublin.


She has completed the Compassionate Inquiry year long training with Gabor Maté and ‘Mastering Brain Chemistry’ with Dr. William Walsh and the Walsh Research Institute.

Edelle is a Certified Ketogenic Nutrition Specialist with the American Nutrition Association and has completed Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice and advanced practice modules in the Immune System, Cardiometabolic Health, Environmental Health & Bioenergetics with the Institute of Functional Medicine.

She trained in 2016 with leading neurologist Dr. Dale Bredesen at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in the Bredesen Protocol for the prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease.


Edelle worked for many years in the semiconductor industry as a research scientist and as a mother of 4, is familiar with the pressures and strains of everyday home and working life. She uses her own life experience to meet her clients wherever they are on their journey to guide them to better health. Edelle is a member of the NTOI & IFM and as such adheres to the code of ethics and practice as laid out by both registering bodies
