Banish the January blues with Power Greens! This Power Green hot chocolate treat will melt away any winter blues warming the cockles of your heart. Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 200 ml nut milk or oat milk or full fat organic dairy (I like to make my own Brazil nut milk)
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder?
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 small cinnamon bark or ½-1 teaspoon powder
  • ½ scoop Power Greens
  • 3 teaspoons maple syrup to sweeten

Method

  1. Combine coconut milk, nut (or other) milk, cacao, bee pollen, vanilla extract, cinnamon bark and maple syrup in saucepan, bring to a simmer, then remove from heat and leave to infuse for 10 minutes.
  2.  Meanwhile, lightly whisk the power-green powder with a little water or nut milk to dissolve and until lump free, about 30 seconds. Add to cacao mixture and lightly whisk. Gently bring back to a low simmer, remove cinnamon bark and pour into your favourite cup or mug. Enjoy!
