“I was really lucky to get on the certificate course last minute. I remember spending the course weekends with my jaw dropping, with the information I was hearing and learning about. Little did I know I would love the course so much that I would go on to complete a diploma in Nutritional Therapy! AND my diploma would lead me into starting my own business!!!! What I learnt will stay with me forever…………everyone should have this knowledge.”
A little bit about the products I sell as exclusive agent in Ireland: BioGaia probiotics contain the Lactobacillus reuteri Protectis (L. reuteri) which is a patented probiotic bacterium with exceptional and well documented health benefits. Clinically documented to maintain digestive health and body’s natural defence (70% of immune system is in the gut!). L. reuteri is considered a truly superior probiotic. They have demonstrated beneficial effects on common digestive upsets such as diarrhoea, constipation, gas and bloating.
BioGaia probiotics are available in drop or tablet form. The drops are the only liquid probiotics available in Ireland. They are convenient and simple to give infants & children, as they do not affect breastfeeding or the taste of food. Clinical trials have proven to reduce crying in colicky babies by up to 74%!

I trained to become a Nutritional Therapist at IINH, from 2008 to 2011. What really appealed to me was that the college gives you loads of practical food and nutrition knowledge in the first year already, unlike all the other colleges. It means that you can start working with people and making a change even before you get into the nitty gritty of anatomy, physiology, pathology, supplements etc. I highly recommend the college with all the very dedicated and hard working staff.”
Patricia Daly is a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist (dipNT, mBANT, mNTOI) based in Dublin, Ireland. Following her cancer diagnosis, she began studying nutrition. Since graduating from IINH she now specialises in the area of Integrative Cancer Care. She is currently doing a course called “Nutritional Medicine in Oncology” at the Tumour Biology Centre in Freiburg, Germany, and is a member of the British Society for Integrative Oncology (BSIO). Her clinics are based in Dublin 6 and 2 but she also does phone/Skype consultations for clients who cannot travel that far or live abroad.
Beside individual consultations, Patricia also lectures on IINH’s Nutritional Therapy programme in Bray, works with corporates to enhance the health of employees and writes articles for various magazines.

Nutritional Coach
Embracing nutrition in its wholeness is a way to change the way we live. I enjoy assisting clients with one-to-one consultations aimed at improving the diet according to their unique needs. I also give weekly classes on nutrition, explaining the basics, how to choose and use foods, and providing recipes that are easy, fast and inexpensive. I organise monthly cooking classes with different nutritional themes.
Customers will be cooking themselves, use tools and foods that are commonly available in out shops I also pair with a Yoga teacher in workshop where Yoga and Nutrition can be helpful, having monthly workshops where also food is provided. Knowing about food, nutrients and its effects on our body is not sufficient without putting in practice your knowledge. This means evaluating oneself, cooking and enjoying the benefit of food while enjoying the cooking and the food itself.

“This is a brilliant course. I gained a lot of confidence. This was crucial for me and helped me enormously. Studying with likeminded people helped me focus and get a sense of direction and clarity of purpose. The tutors are excellent and there is great support for students.”
I have worked in my local health store for 18years and during this time have seen a lot of people with Food intolerance and sensitivities. I have food intolerances myself and know how difficult it is to get a diagnosis and to find foods to suit my restricted diet. In my clinic I use either the Vega Testing Method or the Fitzwilliam FoodTest to test for intolerances. I give advice on diet, what to eat and how to prevent nutritional deficiencies. I also recommend supplements if required.
Stress and lifestyle factors are often contributing factors and considering their effect on the health issue will form part of the treatment protocol. I have been working successfully with food intolerance for the past four years. Also available at Clair’s Clinic is a Coeliac Screen test and a test for Candida and Bach Flower Remedy Consultations.

“The teaching and the support were second to none. IINH have set me on a new and exciting career in nutrition, I have never looked back!”
With a background in psychology I have a keen interest in mental wellbeing. Nutrient therapy targets imbalances that affect neurotransmitter activity and healthy brain chemistry. At my clinic I use lab testing to determine any deficiencies or overloads of specific elements that affect mental health, and devise a nutrient protocol to balance these. This therapy may benefit sufferers of depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, bi-polar, or aggressive behaviour.
I also specialise in digestive issues. The gut or ‘second brain’ is vital for proper absorption of nutrients and for optimum health. Conditions that can benefit from nutritional therapy include IBS, IBD, constipation/diarrhea, ulcers, heart burn, bloating, candida to name a few. I also trained with Lucille Leader in the nutritional management of Parkinson’s Disease and am now also specialising in this area.

Nutrition & Health Coach & Personal trainer
I qualified as a nutritional coach in May 2013. Prior to the course and currently I am a personal trainer/ gym instructor. In my job I never felt I knew enough about nutrition. I found it extremely frustrating to push my client physically but yet not see them hit their target weight or fitness potential. The reason for this was purely down to their diet. To achieve results it’s down to 70-80% diet and 20-30% training, so nutrition was the only option I had if I wanted my clients to reach their potential, but also for my own benefit.
The course with IINH was fascinating. To learn how much damage or benefit food can have on the body is just unbelievable. I am delighted I decided to do the course because there is so much to learn that can benefit not only clients but also me. I would highly recommend the course to anyone interested in nutrition or suffering from an illness etc. At the moment I’m meeting with clients, giving them nutritional advice along with an exercise plan. I’m based at Crossfit, Walkinstown D12, but also do house calls.

I loved studying with IINH, the weekends were always too short, the friendships were lasting, the three years were over so fast! I look back now at what also seemed to be hard slogging to learn the curriculum, attempting to make sense of the body, to build a solid scientific foundation and how that has stood to me in practice.
I vividly remember the debates, the fears, the doubts, the thinking we ‘knew it all’, and then the shared excitement at the acquisition of knowledge and understanding, the growing realisation that we were holding something precious in our hands. It was great, I look back on it now and realise it was a period of growing up…or maybe of waking up…perhaps from naivety. Only for the bigger fish I still need to fry, I’d go back and do it all again in a heartbeat!
I practice nutrition on the principles of Functional Medicine. I specialise in hormone balancing and fertility for males and females.

I embarked on my journey of nutritional learning with the IINH in September 2009. I wrongly assumed my curiosity would be satisfied after the introductory 1st year with Richard, but I was hooked and ‘hungry’ for more knowledge. The following 2 and 1/2 years certainly didn’t disappoint, Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine is such a fascinating, rewarding, and constantly evolving field to study and practice in.
The course is incredibly interesting and enlightening, not to mention very hard work at times! In spite of the hard work I enjoyed every assignment and lecture involved in the course and the wonderful lecturing staff played a huge part in inspiring and encouraging my passion for nutrition and health. I have now embarked on the next step of my journey; practising Nutritional Therapy in a professional clinic environment and love every minute of sharing my knowledge & expertise with clients, family & friends.
