Thinking of healthy and exciting packed lunch fillings can be a daily challenge but sometimes it is just as simple as tweaking the old favourites.
Creating a pick and mix affect can make fruit look much more attractive to kids – little individual pots, fruit kebabs, plenty of colour + a very light dusting of dark chocolate or cacao and wow chocolate fruit salad.

 

Ingredients

  • election of any fruit (local and seasonal is best)
  • Very fine sprinkling of grated dark chocolate or cacao powder.
  • Greek yoghurt
  • Honey to sweeten
  • Drizzle of Udo’s Choice oil
  • Vegetarian
  • Gluten free
  • Child friendly

Method

  1. Cut fruit into chunks appropriate for your child’s age.
  2. Arrange fruit in child’s lunch box or on a large plate and lightly sprinkle with cacao powder or finely grated chocolate.
  3. Mix together yoghurt, honey and Udo’s choice oil. Put in a small tub if destined for lunch box, otherwise serve with fruit plate.
