Certificate in Nutrition and Health

1-Year Programme

Growing concerns about food, health and illness, yet confusion about just what we should be eating, mean that more of us are searching for trustworthy, ‘joined-up’ knowledge in this area.

What does the Nutrition & Health Course offer?

1 Year Certificate in Nutrition and Health - Ireland

The one-year ‘Nutrition & Health’ certificate programme at IINH is ideal for the person who wants comprehensive and balanced knowledge about the food-health connection to help them transform their own health and assist their family, friends and others to do the same. The course provides the understanding, skills and freedom for people to leave behind the worn-out ‘one-diet-suits-all’ mentality of most diet plans, and optimise their own - and others’ - nutrition based on the unique needs and preferences we all have.

This study programme is designed for those with a passion for nutrition, but who are not presently looking for a new career opportunity in this area. Students on this course attend 10 out of the 12 study weekends scheduled in our Nutrition & Health Coaching programme, and will find it less demanding in terms of home study, assignments and assessments. (see outline programme)

Duration, Format & Study Hours

  • 10 weekends (Sat 10-6, Sun 10-5) over 10 months - Sept 2009 to May 2010.
  • Optional evening tutorials. Approx 5 hrs/week study time on average.

Course Assignments & Assessment

  • One written assignment during the year
  • Short classroom test at the start of most weekends
